current event

http://www.biologynews.net/archives/2010/09/06/insect_brains_are_rich_stores_of_new_antibiotics.html

This article is about that bugs like locusts and cockroaches have an antibiotic in their brain. The bugs were able to kill 90% of E.coli and MRSA. Scientists want to be able to make these new alternative drugs that may help more than the current treatment. They think bugs have a high immune system because they usually live in unhealthy environments. The part of the brain that they want to take the tissues from is toxic to some bacteria.

I think that this is a good article because what they discovered can easily benefit human lives because when people have these sicknesses they now have another option. I think that this a good article because it is for a good reason that they are doing this. I think that if I was sick with something like this I would choose to take it because it seems to be better for getting rid of it.
